Well, what can we say. Earth is where we live. Humans. Along with a ton of other critters, including cats and dogs. It's a pretty great place actually. Mountains, oceans, hot dogs, tacos. What's not to love.
Humans have a strong social network. Connecting with other humans and building villages, towns and cities. While humans can be at odds with each other, there is a common goal, providing a good life for loved ones and the advancement of the human race. This drive has allowed humans to create some incredible things. Beautiful cities across the globe. Wonderful parks and nature reserves. And some pretty incredible inventions.
They're toying with space travel and still figuring out how to blast past orbit in an efficient way. Faster than light speed is all theory for now. That puts Earth a little behind some of the more advanced races across the galaxy. S5 keeps a close eye on it for that reason — a planet on the verge of long range space travel is a planet that needs protecting.
Enter Chopper.
Most humans have no idea any of this is going on. And honestly? Probably for the best. So when you tuck the kids in for bed, sit back and kick your feet up, maybe meet up with a friend at the pub down the block. Or you're throwing a football with pals in the park, taking a hike up the Enchantments, a boat ride on the lake, cooking a new meal, painting a portrait... whatever it is you're doing, and you realize that aliens have not attacked us. That's because of Chopper. He's out there. Keeping us safe.
